The sub-plots include a boy in her class who has a crush on her, his family, her family and her principal that keeps talking French for some strange reason.。本片以一个住在佛寺中的9岁男孩的生活为背景，讲述了这样一个故事：在深山寺庙里，三名来自不同世代的僧人一起生活，其中一个充满幻想与童真的九岁的童僧Do-nyeom，自出生起就在这座寺苗里修炼，但面对着各种清规戒律却不断地与之冲突。 童僧整天期盼着母亲来看他，接他一起生活，但是母亲却迟迟未来，于是，他便把一个经常到访寺院的寡妇当成自己的妈妈，那名寡妇亦希望收养童僧。可是，这样得来的母亲并没有给他带来多少快乐，一年之后，本来要收养他的少妇又忽然改变了主意。 他的大师兄——二十岁的少僧Jung-sim虽然住在寺院多年，但每对着一见钟情的女子，仍闯不过情关而动了色心，并且打算还俗。寺院的主持面对两名僧人，不知如何是好…… 最后，童僧决定离开寺庙去寻找自己的母亲，动了凡心的大师兄也因为无法解决内心欲望与戒律的冲突，最终离开了寺院，走上了新的生活……。
