This film will be screened in the Tribute to Michelangelo Antonioni IV.。町山健太（玉山铁二饰）本是一名钢琴演奏家，在惨遭解雇后，他又莫名其妙的来到了据说是“天堂”的地方，在那里，他成为了“天堂书店”的店员。健太的主要任务就是为前来书店的顾客们读书，一天，一位名叫桧山翔子（竹内结子饰）的美丽女子来到了店里，让健太吃惊的是，这位翔子竟然是自己曾经的音乐导师，正是因为仰慕翔子，健太才会走上音乐之路。镜头转回人间，泷本（香川照之饰）是制作烟花的高手，但一次意外中，他的妻子因为烟花的爆炸而失去了听力，心中充满了自责的泷本决定再也不碰烟花了。之后，一位名叫长濑香夏子（竹内结子饰）的女孩找到了泷本，希望他能够重拾手艺，为花火大会制作独一无二的“爱的烟花”，泷本发现，这位名叫香夏子的少女竟然拥有和妻子极为相像的面容。。
