1945年8月，已进入尾声的战争蔓延到了我国西南山区。一所平静的修道院里，见习修女黎姐妹与秦姐妹性格活泼，不合规范，所幸和蔼的老院长对这对儿山村遗孤始终照顾有加。 8月10日，一队中国军人带着受伤的战友向修道院求助，他们由于不熟悉地形迷路，炸毁日军火炮阵地的任务一时也无法完成，黎姐妹与秦姐妹自告奋勇担任向导，不谙世事的两人很快见识了战争的残酷，随这支小分队一起经历了同日军的遭遇战。黎姐妹不忍抛弃遇害的乡亲尸身，被埋伏的日军抓获，战士们涉险将其救出，但却暴露了行踪。战士们成功完成了任务，而等待他们的却是日军对修道院的报复，虽然处于人数劣势，但他们毅然决定出击……。Set during Christmas 1988, Lol is haunted by the devastating events that took place two and a half years before.
