本片讲述了盛唐年间，唐王设立“界安司”震慑群妖以安国运，但宰相李林甫以铲除界安司为代价与妖王达成协议，想换取人妖两族和平共处。多年后，妖王红叶姬妄想刺杀唐皇得以妖族称霸天下，最终众人合力，妖王红叶姬惨死在界安司后裔解子墨剑下，阴谋就此落败，国恨家仇皆得报的故事。。Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) and Melissa (Cecily Strong) miss the magic they felt in Schmigadoon and in an attempt to return, find themselves in Schmicago—the reimagined world of ’60s and ’70s musicals.
