本剧讲述了民国初年一位歌女的坎坷遭遇。歌女明月自小跟随师傅、师母以卖唱为生。师傅垂涎她的美色，师母又经常将她虐待。后来，在手车夫的协助下，她逃离了师傅、师母的魔掌，还认识了一位梨园前辈，跟随学艺，不久便在歌坛走红。这时，她爱上了一名富家子弟，不惜为他放弃事业，离开歌坛，与他同居。可惜富家子弟并未对他付出真心，狠心的抛弃了她。饱受挫折的明月只好复出歌坛。在明月感情遭受打击时，手车夫的出现重新唤起了她心中的爱情，可惜这纯真的爱情又屡遭阻拦...。Norman, a retired police officer, works as a night security guard in a building. One evening, he surprised Nathalie and Guylain committing a robbery and, after a chase in the building, they manage to escape. Curiously, Nathalie returns to visit Normand a few weeks later asking him for refuge. A special relationship between the two develops and changes the course of their lives....。
